A little about me...
I founded Michelle Raasch Makeup in March 2015. Working as a full time Professional Freelance Makeup Artist in Christchurch.
Originally trained in Fashion Designing, graduating from Linea Academy, Nottingham Trent University in 2004 with a BA in Fashion Design, I spent the next 8 years working in the manufacturing sector of clothing with leading name brands In South Africa.
After relocating to New Zealand in 2013, I followed my strong passion and creativity for makeup and art and completed my Diploma in Makeup Artistry at Kristen Stewart School of Makeup (KSSM) in 2015.
After recieving some of the highest levels of training, I proceeded to become a tutor at Kristen Stewart School of Makeup for over 3 years; teaching.
I have had many career highlights, all of which have given me the most invaluable hands on experience. Not limiting myself to one area of focus Its allowed me to work on a wide range of areas such as Fashion, Runway, Commercial, Advertising, Theatre, Film, Beauty, Bridal and specialising in Photographic makeup.
I am confident in creating a diversity of looks and bespoking each look to the individual at hand.

I have found that due to my fashion background knowledge it has been such a useful tool to have on set shoots, as I have a natural eye for details and can assist with the overall styling from Makeup, Hair to the clothes. Thus having a better understanding to ensure the clients vision has been met.
